Dear Brothers and Sisters, ”Even the smallest gift is a great act“ – this is the key message of the newly launched donation portal www.dobrodinec.online, whose launch was presented by the bishops. The Dobrodinec project seeks to provide the faithful with a modern means of financially supporting the Greek Catholic Church in Slovakia. Dear brothers and sisters in faith, today, most of you already support your local parish financially, and for that, we extend our sincere gratitude. Additionally, monthly special collections are held in parishes across the entire Church. Despite this, our financial resources remain inadequate to ensure that our clergy receive even the minimum wage. Through the website www.dobrodinec.online, believers can select their eparchy, then their parish, and make a donation of any amount. Our goal is for the faithful in each parish to collect the set target amount, thereby contributing to the common budget. By setting up a regular monthly donation of at least 1 euro via the Dobrodinec portal, each of us would contribute a significant amount to the Bratislava Diocese‘s budget. While this won’t allow for salary increases for the clergy, it will help reduce the deficit and ensure that their current wages – equal to the minimum salary – can be sustained. We pray for our benefactors at every Holy Liturgy. Additionally, two Holy Liturgies will be celebrated each month by our eparchy’s priests for all donors and their intentions. To express our thanks, each benefactor who sets up a regular monthly donation will receive a bonus card which can be used for various discounts and bonuses with our partners. JUBILEE SACRED SITES IN THE EPARCHY OF BRATISLAVA

Before the celebration of the Nativity of the Lord, the Eastern Church observes a period of fasting known as Filipovka (Pilipyvka). The purpose of this forty-day fast is to spiritually prepare the faithful for the worthy celebration of the Nativity of the Lord and the Feast of Theophany.

The Divine Liturgy is temporarily being celebrated in the Chapel of Our Lady of Fatima at the hospital in Komárno. You are warmly invited to join us every Sunday at 10:00 a.m..
